Membership
Membership to the Society offers an outward recognition of personal accomplishment and serves as an incentive for continued scholarship.
There is also opportunity to meet nursing scholars and leaders and to join them in promoting academic excellence and campus and community service.
It also identifies you to employers, professionals, and graduate schools as a person of good academic ability and commitment.
We do have local chapter and national leadership opportunities.
Chapter awards are given to deserving members.
There is an affordable national lifetime membership fee of $5, plus local initiation fee as well as a certificate of membership.
The status of Greek-letter Societies affiliation is an added value. There are national convention and leadership workshops with air fare, registration fee, hotel housing, convention meals, and regional entertainment paid by national for a student delegate.
More concrete advantages of membership include:
The documents: a membership certificate and card which give tangible evidence of membership
The references provided throughout one's lifetime (this service alone is worth the investment)
The experience gained by working with Beta Nu Delta is excellent for building up a resumé; it is difficult to attain that first managerial and creative experience
Beta Nu Delta is a springboard for professional growth. Opportunities are made available to the members for promoting their research, receiving national and international recognition, meeting and interacting with leaders in their field, and meeting Beta Nu Delta members of other chapters who also will be future leaders.
